~ vacation postscript ~

On the flight home from Vienna, I finally had the pleasure of viewing Wong Kar-wai’s My Blueberry Nights. The film has received mixed reviews, which tend toward the "disappointed" side... luckily, I experienced it during a propitious moment: at a crossroads, returning from a rejuvenating sojourn, no distractions. If you're not planning to watch the movie miles above the world, might I suggest watching it curled up on the couch with a cozy blanket and a hot toddy? I feel strongly that would be the optimum viewing environment.

In the last few days, I've been learning how to not trust people and I'm glad I failed. Sometimes we depend on other people as a mirror to define us and tell us who we are, and each reflection makes me like myself a little more.
