~ easier than just a-waitin' 'round to die ~

I got friends all over this country
I got friends in other countries too
I got friends I haven't met yet
I got friends I never knew

~ Ani Difranco

The blogosphere is a wonderful place to win friends and influence people. As if I did not get enough of Texans while attending Ouachita, I seem to be drawn to them on the world wide web, as well. Just as in real life, online Texans are a different sort of creature. Not worse, definately not better... just, different. Also, just as in real life, online Texans think very highly of themselves. Nevertheless, I have managed to hook up with Texans for blog-friends, and these Texans happen to be quite talented.

None-other-than M.O.L. Junior (aka Ronnie Fauss... aka Ronny Fozz...) has recently set up the essential marketing tool for any up-and-coming-accountant-turned-alt-country-superstar, a MySpace page! The man is GENIUS (if he does say so himself), and you should listen to him. While you're at it, download some tunes so he can feed his wife and baby girls... I hear he makes peanuts as a generic middle-manager accountant at a non-descript mid-size company.

While you're at it (and so as not to give Ronnie too much attention), show some love to Evan Birdsong, aka Blackbird Harmony. I've already told Evan we should get him a show booked at Whitewater, but perhaps we should book another house concert with a Fauss/Blackbird double booking. Though, we'd probably have to raise more than the $50 we raised for the chicks (that wouldn't get them to the Texarkana border)!

i won't even leave the house for less than $500....HAH!! I wish.......

I'd play your house party....but it would help greatly if you could book that Whitewater gig to accompany it....
