huddled masses
wandering
through the desert
hovering
eternity in reach
groaning
constructing towers to the sky
clinging
to the here and the now
to home and hearth
to familiarity
for fear of being scattered
for fear of mystery
for fear of trust
lofty debates
over intricacies of organization
over saintly living
over love
neglecting the Holy
unwilling to abandon all
unless He calls
unmistakably
clearly
to me
