head for the hills!

Two more days of work, and then I'm off to Eureka Springs for an eleven day, nine night, all expenses paid (by me...) personal retreat in the Ozarks! How excited am I? Quite.

Something told me back in February that I would need this, so I booked my room in advance for the peak season (unfortunately, I may be a bit too early for the leaves, but that's really no bother in the grand scheme). Simply a 3 1/2 hour picturesque drive from my abode in the capitol city to my cloister in the mountains.

Eureka Springs is a great place for...

Looking

Listening

Reading

Writing

Walking

Relaxing

Praying

Reflecting

Meditating

Stirring Up Controversy

Treasure Hunting

Marveling

Exploring

Nourishing

Tasting

Sipping

Seeing

A unique mix of kitsch and aesthetic, sacred and mundane, activity and remission. I will spend my days resting, moving, breathing, replenishing, praying, reflecting, writing, beading, creating, enjoying creation, and enjoying the Creator. Bring on Saturday!

The Sour Cream Pancakes at Mud Street are quite possibly the best thing ever! Have a stack for me, please?
