I'm halfway thru Life Together-- if you haven't started it, you'll LOVE IT. We should get together and read/discuss. Haven't started Organic God yet, but should also get together/read/discuss.

Cuz reading is sexy. I hear.

I forgot. Why don't you throw in some Spanish titles there? "yeah- maybe next year Ines, after I brush up on my Spanish. La bicicleta won't cut it." *hehe* that's the fiction that I read. I don't ever read fiction in English...don't know why...

argh! I left off Amish Grace, which I recently purchased and Tozer's The Pursuit of God, which I have recently been thumbing through (with the intention of actually reading). I guess I'll have to kick two "have-already-read-but-would-really-love-to-read-again" books off of my list to make room for these.

Jroo - I have the Writing Life (actually, I think I have all of the writing themed books on my list), but I certainly appreciate the offer!

Ines - I do not have a copy of Life Together, so whenever you finish your copy I would love to borrow it... then we can have coffee and discuss! (of course, we can always have coffee!)

la bicicleta,
Kimberly

What about "Oh, The Places You Will Go" by Dr. Seuss? Classic!

I'm more of a Green Eggs and Ham girl, myself. And I have both a collectible figurine and stuffed version of the Star-Bellied Sneetches... I'm all about the Seuss!

I'm glad I made the list! I will through out the book unChristian for you to consider though... ;-)

unChristian is on the list! I kind of typed my list haphazardly... no alphabetizing or order of any sort, which makes it hard to peruse properly. Which is also to say, Margaret's book being at the bottom of the list is no indication of its significance! :)

Since you're being ambitious, why not 80 books for 2008? ;-)

80?! At the rate I'm going, I'll be lucky to finish 8! I've gotta step up and get focused...

I will recomend a book that I have not read yet but have on my own list.

Peace in a post-christian era - Thomas Merton

the book was writen in the mid 60's but suppressed by the church, then published in 04 (I believe). I have been told that the musings of Merton at that time are very timely for the 21st century.
