maintaining my sanity

Meredith and I went to the Traveler's baseball game on Saturday night, and ended up spending the entire game lamenting the lack of intellectual stimulation post-college and discussing ideas for a discussion group (yes, Virginia, there are nerds...). So in preparation, I'm reading Socrates Cafe (in my "spare" time), trying to glean some ideas that we can steal and make our own. One of the first discussions the author recollects focuses on the question "What is insanity?". Well, my friends, I think you could just videotape my life right now, and you'd answer that pretty easily! At least I've got Wilco A.M. on continuous play in my computer, which is helping me to maintain some level of composure in this asylum called an office. "I just can't find the time to write my mind the way I want it to read." Hopefully I'll find some time soon...

Ramon again...so, when are we going to be doing one of these discussion groups on a topic? I think it sounds like fun. I fear that my brain will turn to mush by hanging out with teenagers all the time, unless I have some kind of intellectual outlet like that. Let a brotha know!

...patience grasshopper. I have an idea for month one, and with tomorrow being the first day of September, I figure its as good a time as any to get started. I'm actually cheating, as it directly correlates to my latest attempt at my Master's paper. I'll try and post something tomorrow, send it out to you and Meredith, and see where it goes from there. (that means I have an excuse to go to Java tonight... thanx!)
